Rev. Karen Hipsher's ministry began in 2001. In 2003, she formed Master’s Commission New Covenant Church in Columbus, Ohio, with the aid of six additional people. She presently holds the position of teacher and Healing Minister within the church. She was granted an Associate License with Reconciling Pentecostals International in 2009 during Midwest SpiritQuest in LaPorte, IN. Karen accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior at the age of thirteen, received The Holy Spirit in
1988 and was baptized in Jesus' Name twice, once by Bishop Seaborn Bishop and, again, by her pastor, Rev. Kelly Cross. "I remember struggling with my sexuality once I entered the ministry, however, every time I would pray about it, Jesus would give me one of three statements." He would say, "There is nothing wrong with you," "You are ok the way you are," or “Change what?” Rev. Karen remembers asking the Lord to show her how that could be true since some scriptures in the Bible seemed to contradict what the Lord was telling her. "I didn’t realize He would answer those prayers by allowing me to study on the topic of homosexuality and the Bible and eventually write and teach about it. It was through this study that I learned Jesus does not condemn homosexuals or homosexuality."
