Pastor Lenny was raised by both of his parents; however he was not raised in church. At the age of 17 he was invited by a friend to attend a church service. Within a short time he gave his heart to the Lord, was baptized in the name of Jesus and received the gift of the Holy Ghost in a small Pentecostal church in Highland, IL. In an attempt to deny who God created him to be, he married a woman and fathered a daughter, Karmyne. Shortly after, his secret was exposed and he was disenfranchised with his church at which point his life was turned totally upside down, but his love for Christ never wavered. He finally decided to step out and be true to what God created him to be, a gay man. Within ten months, God brought Ryan Hildebrand into Pastor Lenny's and Karmyne's life and they knew immediately that their family was ordained by God.
In 2006, Pastor Lenny and Ryan were united in a covenant marriage and legally married in the state of Illinois in 2014. During their first four years together, they were seeking the Lord about a place that they could go and freely worship Him in spirit and in truth as a family. In 2005, God answered their prayer and during the next four years, they served in two different ministries. During this time they stepped out to become licensed foster parents and they have worked closely with their agency to help them embrace gay foster parents.
In 2009, the Lord led them, along with their friends, Jacque and Marie, to start Light of Love Fellowship in St. Louis, MO. During Midwest SpiritQuest 2010, Pastor Lenny was granted credentials and license with RPI and was elected to the Board of Presbyters in 2013. You will often hear Pastor Lenny say, "I'm all about keeping it real."
In Spring 2013, Pastor Lenny felt led of the Lord to dissolve LOLF and move the church to a suburb of Metro St. Louis. The church has re-emerged as Impact365 - A Family Worship Center (formerly Impact Family Worship Center), Pontoon Beach, IL.
Ryan Hildebrand helped start Impact365 in 2013. Ryan serves as the Associate Pastor at Impact365. He was ordained in June 2013. Ryan is married to his husband, Lenny of 18 years, and together they have seven children and two grandchildren. During the week, Ryan works as a Business Analyst at a large mail-order pharmacy. In his spare time, Ryan enjoys photography and travel.
Impact365 seeks to be a Multiracial, Multicultural, Open and Affirming Church for all people who wish to have a relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ. We believe in the full inclusion of gays, lesbians, bisexuals, transgender persons, questioning individuals and straight allies (LGBTQS) in our church's life and ministry. We believe that after a much in-depth study of scripture, that one can be gay or transgender and be saved; that homosexuality is not an abomination in the eyes of Christ. To understand how we have come to this conclusion, please review some of the bible studies below. You can also review our beliefs for more information about what we believe.
2 Timothy 2:15 says "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."
